CINAMON BISQUITS (AnaMaria Bozdog, Sarah Poput), CREATIVE MINDS (Teoharia Croitoriu, Luiza Calistru), CITRIQUE (Lorena Enache, Amalia Vornicu) and LINARIUM TEAM (Catalina Gritcu, Madalina Fleseriu) won the scholarship competition offered by George, the first intelligent banking system, for the Design semester, at The Alternative School.

On the short list were Nuin Studio, Bianca Berlea, Raluca Rascanu / Elena Irimia, Creatim. Andruta Mihai / Teodora Banu, Girs Design and AlgoDreamers. More than 40 works signed by young, creative people from Bucharest, Cluj, Iasi and Timisoara entered the competition. Design professionals, outstanding alumni of The Alternative School and leaders of the George brand team judged the entries.

Team George – Katerina Todorovski Senior Brand Manager, Adrian Savean-Brand Manager, Alex Ilie – Junior Brand Manager, along with Diana Andreescu, Phd & Silviu Buraga Phd, both professors at the Faculties of Art and Design, together with three valuable students of #TheAlternativeSchool – Lin Pham – winner of the similar competition in 2021, Anca Ifrim, Executive Creative Director at Heist Industries and Razvan Ghilencea, co-founder of AYZ & HENDZ, gold winner at Cannes Young Lions, created the ranking based on the criteria of originality, impact idea and quality of execution.

For those who did not qualify for this competition, there is still a chance addressed to young communicators up to 23 years old, who want a refinement of their creative skills at The Alternative School and who want to later win a place at Roger Hathcuel Academy at Cannes Lions, 2023.

The deadline for the scholarship competition for those up to the age of 23 is March 17. The brief requires a 2-minute video proposal, in English, in which applicants present themselves and explain from their perspective what the mission of creativity and design in business is and how the problems of the contemporary world can be solved through them. For more details, here.

The semester with a focus on design @The Alternative School starts on March 21st, involves 8 meetings with online presentations, held by award-winning speakers, on Monday and Wednesday, from 7 to 9 pm, as well as 4 workshop meetings.
