The Alternative School for Creative Thinking is starting its 16th edition of the Cannes Semester on the 12th of March and people from all ages and walks of marcom life are welcomed.
All those attending will benefit from the training and intensive workshops, mentored by remarkable practitioners:
Vera Gavrila (Client Service Director// Media Concept Store) – presenting The Art of Innovation and Insights
Vera Gavrila began her creative adventure in 2010, founding Media Concept Store. She is now also the Project Manager for Product of the Year Romania and associated teacher at Faculty of Journalism & Communication Sciences, within University of Bucharest.
Isabella Branisteanu (Strategic Thinker// Thinkegic) – presenting Not the resource, but the idea
Isabela launched Thinkegic in 2019, her own strategic consulting structure in the branding and new business area, helping companies to organize, reset or create their brands and develop relationships with their audiences, to the benefit of all parties involved: business, consumers, and community.
Carmen Punga (Industry Head// Google) – presenting Unskippable attention: Effective Creative for Youtube
Carmen has been working as an Industry Head at Google Romania for the last 5 years. She partners with technology ideas and companies that from Romania operate globally, leading them to unlock the full potential of data, insights and opportunities while leveraging Google products, to innovate and grow globally.
Andreea Cristoforidis (Business Consultant// BrandGround)- presenting Insight Done Right
Andreea has been working as a consultant since the middle of 2014, up to this period having managerial positions in large organisations like The Royal Bank Of Scotland (Banking, the former ABM AMRO), JW Marriott (Hospitality), InterContinental (Hospitality), Ambient Sibiu (DIY and Constructions).
Diana Crâșmariu (Senior Strategic Planner// Cohn & Jansen JWT) – presenting Efficient Creativity
Diana Crâșmariu coordonates the Strategy department at Cohn & Jansen JWT. She has been working in advertising for the past 14 years, of which 8 only in strategy. She also teaches students at the Faculty of Journalism and Communication from The University of Bucharest and is a holder of several Effie awards, now being a jury herself at the festival.
Miruna Mihalache (Senior Brand Manager// Albalact) – presenting People behind brands
Miruna Mihalache is Albalact’s Senior Brand Manager and has managed to win a Bronze Lion at the 66th edition of Cannes Lions with the Tecșești Vlogs campaign, in the Social & Influencers category.
She is a The Alternative School alumni herself, representing Romania at the Young Lions competition in 2017.
Dr. Ana Iorga (CEO&Neuroscientist// Buyer Brain) – presenting Brand pain and the importance of measuring Customer Effort
Dr. Iorga is a Medical Doctor that holds a PhD in Consumer Neuroscience with the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies and a double MBA degree in Marketing and Finance, from the University of Ottawa & Bucharest School of Management. She founded Buyer Brain, a consumer neuroscience company that focuses on delivering non-conscious insights that drive deeper customer engagement.
Alex Dohotaru ( Creative Partner @Creative VR)
Alex is one of the founding members of Creative VR, a creative technology company, which develops unique novelty projects in Romania, based on Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality experiences in the digital sphere and event planning. Brands that have worked with them include Coca-Cola, Orange, ING Bank, Johnson and Johnson, Awake Festival etc.
Diana Stafie (Strategist & Partner// futureStation) – presenting Media Trends Forecast
Diana has spent the last few years studying and unlocking change, trends and making sense of the future. Her services consist in foresight and future-driven innovation consultancy, research and training that will support your futures thinking and will help you develop strategies and policies that will stand the test of time.

As always, people over 30 are welcomed to attend the classes, just like everyone else. They will not be able to attend the international competitions, as this is the age limit imposed by the organizers.
For the very best of the students attending The School’s programs, internship & employment opportunities will be active.
Entries are open for the Young Lions Design & Roger Hatchuel Academy via The Spring Semester.
