CANNES SEMESTER: ENTRIES ARE OPEN

Romanian Young Marketers aiming for Cannes
The Alternative School for Creative Thinking / Cannes semester is open for applications starting February 2nd. People working in communication industries and interested in improving their strategic, efficient and creative skills, while aiming for international performance, are invited to apply. The school starts on March, 12th and has 7 meetings & workshops, followed by a 48 h competition.
The meetings will take place on Thursdays, from 6 to 8 pm and Saturdays from 10 to 12, at Qreator by IQOS. The attendance fee is 300 Euros / person or 500 Euros/team. Bio / Resume, an ID copy & the info for the invoice are to be sent at win@canneslions.ro, for an application to be complete.
The Cannes semester will focus on the strategic process, how to write a brief, evaluate/judge the impact & efficiency of a creative idea, how to look for insights, code and decode visual languages, what’s contemporary media, sales versus marketing in building nowadays brands, understanding people and communication trends.
People from all ages and all walks of marcom life are welcomed to attend the Cannes semester. However, some conditions apply for those interested in the Young Marketers competitions at the Lions, since a Romanian team will be selected for its 2020 edition.
2020 Young Marketers @ TheAlternative School
The selection for Young Marketers is open for all young Romanians specialized in marketing, aged up to 30, born on or after 22 June 1989. Freelancers and advertising agencies are not eligible to compete.
They will have to solve 3 briefs over the semester & the last one in 24 hours. The winning team will participate, as Romania’s representative, at the Young Marketers’ competition, in Cannes Lions 2020. All those attending the Cannes semester will benefit the training and intensive workshops, mentored by remarkable practitioners coming from Albalact, Cohn&Jansen, Circles Creative, Google, Love&Lobby, Product of the Year, Thinkegic.
A sponsor will cover the attendance fee for the winning team participation at the Cannes Lions 2020.

The Alternative School for Creative Thinking has been scouting for talent and put people on the right professional track for the last 16 years, with an impressive record in terms of results, at international scale.
Cannes Lions, a five-day International Festival of Creativity, is the largest gathering in the creative marketing community. Every year, the festival explores the value of creativity in branded communication: from product and service development to the creative strategy, execution and impact. The 2020 edition will take place on 22-26 of June.
